Real World FP (Canterbury, UK)
We will be holding a seminar for the at the University of Kent in Canterbury on the use of Functional Programming in the real world. The talk will be on Erlang and its rapidly growing community, showing how 99,999% availability has been achieved in production systems. The talk will also go into why Erlang, originally invented for telecoms, has been successful in a much wider range of sectors than originally intended, including banking, finance, traceability and computer telephony. If you are interested in attending, there are a limited number of places by invitation available for outsiders. The talk will start at 14.00. Please contact us for more details if you are interested in attending.
