Quick Check Knowledge is a plus, but not a must.
Our client is looking for experienced Wireline Test Engineers who have had lots of exposure to Erlang. You will be working as part of a team verifying Engine Integral Network 3.1 where MN-OSS 6.0 is the network management system. Main Nodes are in the project are Erlang based; Tes/Softswitch (AXE, APG40, AXD ML), MGW, AXD301. With the AXD301 switch being one of Erlang's flagship products, this is an excellent opportunity to work with the megaco stack, multimedia gateway and the engine solution.
Responsibilities: Write test plans, conduct testing, submit reports and track resolution.

It is an opportunity to lead and manage a team developing systems in a wide variety of industry sectors ranging from banking to telecoms.
The Test Team Leader will provide the System and Integration Test functions within all development projects. They will be responsible for ensuring best practices are observed and practiced throughout the company and in client engagements. Candidates will bring relevant business and systems testing experience to help the team meet the business’ testing schedules as part of a Customer’s overall software development programme.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:-
* Hands on management of the Testing / QA / Acceptance Testing function within projects
* Organise the Testing team to meet the testing targets as planned in conjunction with the Customers
* Ensure that the testing teams are structured and organised to deliver quality Testing solutions
* Overall Line management of 2 or more staff dependant on the nature and complexity of the release
* Build relationships with key individuals including Project Managers, Customer Production Support staff, third party suppliers
* Ensure that all parties are aware of current release status and issues as appropriate
* Analyse requirements and plan and execute Test Strategies, Cycles, Plans and Scripts
* Awareness of dependencies and software release management
* Ability to instigate the building of and subsequently execute appropriate systems and processes which enable the excellent execution of testing, including (but not limited to):
* Robust test strategies
* Effective and efficient testing
* Policies on testing standards standards and documentation, and the enforcement thereof
* Highly effective knowledge transfer within the test team, and between testers and developers
* To identify risks associated with testing on projects
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Important:
* A ‘hands on’ team leader with 3-5 years experience of testing and test management (both system and user acceptance) , within a telephony or mobile operator
* Technical understanding of and able to model system behaviour to key business transactional flows
* Experience of Test strategies, Cycles, Plans and Environment management in the context of an Agile development method.

Based out of London, you will be working with the full life cycle of systems implemented in Erlang, specialising in test, integration and upgrades. You will have the responsibility for the execution of all Test and Integration activities (from design stage to first site implementation) of new mobile services and solutions to upgrades and patch testing.
